Original Characters

Tatters - She/They/It - Flying Fox

Tatters is my main fursona that I identify with online! She's a flying fox, a species of megabat. She lives on the outskirts of the city of Fauxtail, in a little cavern she's decked out with all the stuff she needs. Can fly, but she's very clumsy, so she prefers to just walk. Overall not super social but happy to be friendly to people that look her way!

Loraby - She/They - Honeybee

Loraby, or Lore, is my secondary fursona / bugsona. She's a geeky bee that enjoys being alone, walking through nature... and staying at home playing video games. She does her best to be friendly, but socializing is hard. As a pacifist, she's uncomfortable having a stinger, despite it being such a staple of her kind. She often dresses in bright tops, especially sporting an orange jacket and a pink scarf, to draw attention away from it.

Dubtap - She/Her - Electric Creature

Dubtap (you can call her Dubs for short!) is a little electric creature that was created under mysterious circumstances. Nobody's quite sure where she came from, not even her, but she's theorized to be some kind of a spirit, on account that her core was a prototype invention by a scientist who did not intend for something so lively to appear from it. She has a very chaotic brand of fun, and is capable of rapidly overcharging various electronics just by touching them, something she mostly uses to either launch herself a distance or just to get free snacks out of vending machines. She doesn't need to eat, but has a sweet tooth regardless. Instead, her energy mostly comes from siphoning electricity from outlets using her plug tail!

Eclipse - She/They - Cat

A nomadic cat with a distaste for magic and a missing eye. She was an innocent bystander to a classic 'good vs. evil' wizard fight that happened in her hometown. Reckless casting ended up hitting Eclipse's home, knocking out one of her eyes; the cast belonged to the hero. They now travel around, searching for that 'hero' and spreading the word about the dangers of magic whilst also making a name for herself for the skills she's picked up while getting around her impaired vision.

Lyte - They/Volt - Electrobat

An anthro bat with an attitude. Volt's got an affinity for electricity, able to control it in limited amounts and even consume it by way of volt's tail. Volt plays the electric guitar and acknowledges that volt's mostly doing it for the joke but enjoys it anyway, even if volt has a tendency to overcharge it, making it sound... a bit less than good.

Burnard - He/Him - Forest Cryptid Thing

The "CEO of Camping." Burnard is a campfire-themed entity that manifests out of seemingly nowhere whenever an active campsite is going. Doesn't matter where, if someone starts a campfire with the intent to camp, especially if multiple people are present, there's a good chance he'll show up. Nobody knows what he is, where he comes from, or where he is when he isn't at a campsite, but most folks who have met him agree he's fun to hang out with, motivating everyone in a genuine manner and partaking in the festivities. He has an active social media account, but no amount of analyzing his selfies have been able to determine where they're taken from. If his fire is put out, the smoke will cloud around where it was, and he'll probably be pretty miffed at you until he reignites.

Original Universe - Fauxtail City

A city in a world of anthro characters living in relative harmony. Fauxtail is the largest city on the Ambiscale continent, notable for being also one of the most accommodating cities, with measures in place to cater to all of its citizens' needs. It is divided into districts; Woodland, Aquatic, Polar, Highland, and Desert. Each has its own conditions that are kept in place by the city's council. While it's mostly a peaceful place, it does have a dark underground, being somewhat puppeteered by an organized crime group called the Butterfly Knives.

Alexis "Lexi" Fallows - She/Her - Fox

A "rookie" member of the Butterfly Knives organization. She's a gruff hotshot thief that moved with her family to Fauxtail after living in a rural area for her early childhood. She often has felt out of place in the city and sees the flaws in its 'perfect' facade, taking up her position with the Knives to mess up the status quo and bring issues to light while also making a living. She's dramatic and often gets into trouble on her missions, but she's very good at concealing her identity. Her codename is 'Torch,' so named after her bright orange fur that she thankfully shares with all kinds of other fox citizens in the city.

Miles Whiptail - He/Him - Rat

Mile is a rat gifted with psychic abilities, which unfortunately led to him feeling like a freak and an outcast in his childhood. As he grew up, he gravitated towards the stage, working mostly on conjuring and illusioning than perhaps more traditional psychic strengths such as telepathy or clairvoyance. Focusing on his performance for admittedly not great pay, he started feeling unfulfilled, and eventually quit after hearing about the Butterfly Knives via a broadcast catching the tail end of one of Lexi's heists. He realized he could be of use to detectives looking into such cases, and so on a whim he went over to November Detective Agency, and ended up getting taken on by the detective Sketch November himself. He still usually wears his magician outfit, to keep a theme. He's very prideful, and becomes quickly frustrated as even when he realizes the connections between Torch and Lexi, he can't get any solid evidence against her, and his untrained psychic abilities cannot seem to pierce her mind. Still, he pesters her often, hoping she'll slip up.

Elegy R. Witherwing - She/Her - Emperor Butterfly

Codenamed "The Masked Emperor", Elegy is the founder and acting leader of the Butterfly Knives, responsible for arranging most of the organization's heists and for slowly spreading its influence throughout the city's districts. She is a mastermind that's constantly on the lookout for new work for the Knives and anything else she can do to gain further power. Though she doesn't go out on missions herself as much as she used to, she is still a skilled thief and does make an appearance from time to time. Elegy was born into a rich family, but got little to no attention, and she often felt like she was being treated unfairly. When she finally moved out, she used the 'trust fund' she had been given to get a nice place of her own, and then she decided to finally do something about the issues that concerned her... by way of becoming a thief, targeting large corporate entities and taking back wrongful acquisitions.

Alloy - She/They - Spider

Alloy is a very casual person, spending much of her time hanging out at clubs and raves and the like. In truth, they feel a bit isolated, so going to social situations helps them combat that, as well as working some odd jobs throughout each week to keep a roof over her head. She's a bit protective of her actual feelings, though, so outwardly they just try to be friendly and fun. They're actually pretty well known in the spaces they visit at this point, making some good friends that they keep in contact with regularly. Her favorite club in Fauxtail is a place called Club Snowfall.

Glossy Shimmers - Ve/Ver - Crayfish

A pawnbroker that owns and runs a small shop in Fauxtail's woodland district, Shimmers & Shines. Ve works hard to maintain ver store, and loves seeing all the strange and valuable trinkets people bring in while hearing and investigating the history behind them before re-sale. Ve has a lot of connections that have helped ver stay in business over the years, plus some recent (relatively unknown to Glossy) support from the Butterfly Knives, as they often sell ver the things they steal that they don't need or want. Ve speaks with the equivalent of a slight German accent and has verbal tics, usually in the form of a "tch-tch" sound ve may interject into ver sentences sometimes. Ve also has a glass eye due to a birth defect, but ve's really embraced it and it doesn't really bother ver much.
